We will do whatever is necessary to prolong his life with quality. We will not let him suffer, but we don't want to lose him.
We have researched the "Navy Protocol". We thought that the Celebrex might be too harsh for Max's stomach, so we started the other two drugs in the "cocktail"...Tamoxifen and doxycycline. We have also changed him to a 30% Protein/ 15% Fat diet. We are going to include any and all supplements (CoEnzymeQ, Beta Carotine, Lycopene, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Arginine, glutamine, methionine, and Vitamin C) that could possibly help him.
A complication in this whole process is that Max has been an insulin dependent diabetic for about 7 years. We will closely monitor his blood glucose levels with any changes to his diet and supplements. Max has also been epileptic for 14 years although he has been seizure free for about 3 years!
Max's big brother Winston has been very loving, kind, and concerned for his brother.
Any and all information and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Sandy, Bill, Max, and Winston
